Individual Psychotherapy

Why Therapy?
Therapy is a deeply personal journey that transforms how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world. It’s more than just alleviating anxiety, depression, or relationship issues; it’s a path to self-discovery, personal growth, and finding comfort within yourself. Through therapy, you gain deeper insights into the underlying causes of your symptoms, becoming more aware of your emotions and their origins. This newfound understanding empowers you to take control of your life, enhancing your emotional intelligence and leading to a more fulfilling existence.

Why I Can Help You
My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, with a strong foundation in psychodynamic principles. My training, from a psychodynamically focused Master’s program to studies at the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute and my Ph.D. program, has given me a deep appreciation for the power of clarifying emotional experiences. I strive to uncover the root causes of feelings and behaviors, while also incorporating other evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. This combination of approaches allows me to tailor therapy to meet your unique needs.

What You Can Expect
In our sessions, I provide a space where you can be your authentic self, free from judgment. My approach is empathetic, reflective, and interpretive, yet logical and direct when needed, allowing us to explore the patterns that shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. We’ll work together to address issues that cause anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties, while also easing the pain of past traumas or earlier challenging adaptations, such as those made to survive difficult circumstances. Along the way, we’ll uncover your strengths, aspirations, and values, empowering you to make meaningful changes and live a more rewarding life.

What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.
